We got to look to the stars and be hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day, but we also got to be determined to build a better future.
—Hachura

Yo, I'm Hachura, a member and editor of JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia. I'm a architecture student, a graphic and motion designer and a traditional and digital artist who's constantly learning new skills. I joined the JoJo Wiki in 2019 because of my passion for the series and the friendships I made with some of the members, in the last few years I made some contributions here and there by listing some of the JoJo anime Brazilian Portuguese dub voice cast on some of the pages, as well as helping some members with cleaning, stitching, redraws and translations.

Hachura is a Stand user wielding Daft Punk.

Personality

We may not know what the future holds, but we gotta keep moving forward in the path of light, justice and freedom.
—Hachura

Ever since he was a child, Hachura has always been a collected and quiet yet curious person. He has a good heart and sense of justice, despite not talking much he likes to befriend others who are kind and honest. Growing up in Brazil he soon began to notice how much corruption, evil and stupidity there is, not just in his nation but in the world as a whole, and how destructive and violent some humans can be, however, that did not stop him from seeing the bright side of humanity and believing in kind souls and pure hearts. He also loves animals and has a special bond and care with dogs.

Hachura is very determined and manages to get stuff done when he puts his mind to it. Despite being far from a expert in some areas he is more than willing to always learn more and refine his skills. In order to train his physical body and focus his spirit he goes for runs around his neighborhood every week.

How I Got Into the Series

I got into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure in 2017, my first exposure to the series was through stick figure animation compilations on Youtube which happened to use the Heritage for the Future DIO Road Roller attack followed by his "WRYYYYY" battle cry, as well as the "It was me, Dio!" and the Kakyoin "Rero Rero" scenes from the anime.

Phantom Blood's themes of struggle, fate, justice and determination is what first got me into the series, from then onwards I got caught up with the anime, the manga and I even managed to play some of the games like Heritage for the Future, All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven, and I also read some of Hirohiko Araki's earlier works like Cool Shock B.T., Gorgeous Irene and Baoh the Visitor. Araki-sensei is a big inspiration to me, he is a really talented and extraordinary man.

Favorite Parts

My favorite parts

There's not a single JoJo part I hate or dislike, I think they only get better from Phantom Blood Onwards, as you can, Steel Ball Run is my favorite, followed by The JOJOLands and JoJolion, I'm really thankful that the series moved from Shonen Jump to Ultra Jump as it introduced more seinen elements and it allowed Araki to move from a weekly release schedule to a monthly release schedule, giving him more time to work on the writing and the art, which really evolved a lot from the start to end of part 7. I also love Vento Aureo, it's one of the parts that most resonated with me, especially as I read it one year before it's anime announcement, Diamond is Unbreakable also has a special place in my heart, I think the city of Morioh is a masterclass on worldbuilding and making a diverse cast of characters that feel alive, it's episodic style is also really fun, one of my favorite arcs is Let's Go Eat Some Italian Food.

Favorite JoJos

Favorite JoJos

Just like JoJo parts, there's not a single JoJo protagonist I dislike or hate, while earlier JoJos had more straightforward personalities and ways of living, I like how the JoJos from part 3 onwards become more fleshed out and full of personality as a result of Araki's writing evolving and the settings these characters live in. Also I enjoyed Jotaro much more as a more mature and developed mentor figure in Diamond is Unbreakable rather than a main protagonist in Stardust Crusaders.

Favorite Villains

Kira Yoshikage is my favorite main villain in the series due to how grounded in reality he is, a serial killer with a twisted sense of justice and a hand fetish, it makes him a really intriguing character, he's a terrible person and a monster, but also perfect material for the main antagonist of a murder mistery investigation story. I think DIO was really good in his calm and collected version that appears in the flashbacks featured in Stone Ocean, in Phantom Blood he's a great contrast for Jonathan and in Stardust Crusaders he's too insane and overconfident by the end which undermines the setup for his return in the part a bit, but I can't deny his influence in the whole series is huge. Valentine and Pucci are also some of my favorites due to them falling a bit in the grey morality area, which makes their scenes in their respective parts very interesting to read and watch.

Favorite Stands

When it comes to favorite Stands, I always think about how interesting, useful or versatile their ability can be and how aesthetically pleasing they look, I'm a big fan of Stands that either have their mouth covered or the iconic mechanical stand eyes. I also love it when the Stand references a certain album cover like how it happens with The World being inspired by the Dio album, Holy Diver.

Trivia

  • My favorite animals are dogs, horses, eagles, macaws, lions and wolves.
  • I played and tried a lot of different sports as a kid, I played soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and judo. Nowadays I just get my dose of exercises by running a few kilometers around the neighborhood and training at least 2 to 3 days a week.
  • There was this time when I was either in middle or high school and during a trip to my father's family ranch I was riding one of the horses when it started speeding up and I was losing control of the reins and almost got hit by a big tree branch but by some miracle the cap I was wearing started to fall off my head and when I put my hand to hold it, my body instantly moved to the right of the horse and I managed to duck the branch, I do believe that what happened to me was a miracle and I keep reflecting about that moment and how blessed I was to be able to avoid that situation unharmed.
